From: Nuristan, AfghanistanSize: 7.9 x 8.1 x 5.7cmWeight: 334g Here is a very special kunzite specimen from Afghanistan. Not only is the kunzite itself a very nice crystal with excellent transparency and termination, but it has growing through it a green tourmaline crystal. In person, the crystal appears to have the shape of the state of Michigan. There is actually a second tourmaline penetrating the kunizte which is easier to see in the closeups, and there is are additional tourmaline crystals in and on the quartz and albite. The smoky quartz crystal has perfect termination and is slightly skeletal. The entire specimen stands upright on its own, and the kunzite crystal itself is 3.8cm long. This specimen comes with a labeled acrylic base.
