Agatized Gastropod from Nevada

This is part fossil and part mineral specimen. What you see here is a gastropod who's innards have been filled with material that turned into agate. The original shell material is long gone leaving just an inner cast. What's particularly interesting about this ons is how there are dozens of tiny little shells inside the agate, frozen in time. This is a really interesting piece to look at! 

The specimen comes with a custom display base.
