Chalcopyrite Balls on Hematite Quartz

This specimen is about as Chinese-looking at it gets. The golden chalcopyrite with the red, hematite included quartz gives it a very strong Chinese appearance, and the specimen is really quite spectacular! The host rock is Quartz that has been hematite included in places, so some of the Quartz is red while some is white. Growing on the Quartz are dozenz if not hundreds of Chalcopyrite balls. Most are shiny, golden in color, while many have a rainbow iridescence showing blues and greens. The balls get up to ~1.6cm in diameter. A very showy specimen with lots of color and great form! 

The specimen comes with a labeled acrylic display base. (The label in the photos incorrectly says Calcite - this has since been corrected)
