This is a killer sphalerite specimen from the Elmwood mine! Awesome aesthetics! The large ball of sphalerite is 7.2cm wide and it sits centered on a thin piece of shiny, white dolomite. On the backside of the dolomite are calcite crystals, and on the top-back side of the sphalerite are two pale, purple fluorite cubes. The condition is perfect with no damage anywhere, and the specimen is also a floater because it is completely crystallized everywhere including the entire bottom side of the dolomite which has the calcite.
The specimen comes siliconed to the acrylic display base.
