Epidoite & Axinite on Quartz from Peru

This is easily the most unusual mineral specimen we have acquired in a while. It's Epidote and Axinite on a Quartz matrix, but it looks like some sort of mossy plant. The green epodite has a very organic color and shape to it, and it looks fragile but it is extremely solid and you don't have to worry about handling it. The shades of green from dark to light really mimic that which you would see in the plant world. The gray mineral is the Axinite. This is really cool!

The specimen comes with a custom display base.
