Here's an interesting oddity known as a Gem Nodule Tourmaline or a Gola Tourmaline. This is a tourmaline crystal with a yellow inner core and an outer green layer, but at the top is what appears to be a yellow ball of tourmaline. We thought this was carved to be like this, but other experts in the field told us that no, it's real. It's a very type of tourmaline known as Gola Tourmaline or Gem Nodule Tourmaline and miners often break these balls off to be sold as gem rough because of how gemmy they are.
This specimen comes with a custom display base.
