Iridescent Bornite & Covellite on Barite from Bulgaria

We love this specimen! We have never seen iridescent barite before, at least not anything like this. The underlying mineral is barite, and you can see the bed of rectangular blades. Coating the barite is a thin layer of white marcasite. The iridescent mineral on top of that is a combination of Bornite & Covellite. The iridescence is difficult to fully appreciate in a still photo, but it is extremely colorful and sparkly! 

The specimen comes with a custom display base.
