Prehnite "Rope Knot" Cluster & Red Quartz

This is a large cluster of "Rope Knot" prehnite crystals with red hematite coated quartz. The prehnite itself is tinted tan by hematite inclusions, and it has the unusual property of forming what look like rope knots. The quartz is coated with a very saturated red hematite coating which gives them the illision of being chopped strawberries. There are several cleaved prehnite crystals, especially on the back, which let you see the internal structure. 

This is from a small find in late 2016, and the specimens from the find are very rare and unusual, and really are some of the most interesting prehnites in the world.

The specimen comes with a labeled acrylic display base.
