This is a very special rhodochrosite specimen from China! What you see here is a single, large, disc-shaped, rhodochrosite crystal that is a complete floater with no contact points anywhere. On the surface of the rhodochrosite are some small calcite, quartz, and purple fluorite crystals. A very unique and unusual specimen with excellent red color!
