This is a very unique, and very special spessartine on smoky quartz specimen because the smoky quartz in this case is HUGE! The crystal measures 14.5cm long which is very unusual since most of these specimens have very small quartz crystals. There are some garnets actually growing on the quartz itself, and you can see indentations in the quartz where more garnets once were.
