This is from a new find in October, 2019. Trona is likely not a mineral species you have ever heard of, but this is not your ordinary Trona because of it's incredible color. This mineral is usually colorless, grey, or yellowish, but this new find is a wonderful salmon color. Even older finds from this same location are fairly colorless, but this new find is special. The crystals have a somewhat wheatsheaf shape to them, so combined with the color it looks similar to a pale South African rhodochrosite, but it's not. The crystals are highly translucent, so they light up nicely in a display case.
The specimen comes with a labeled acrylic display base.
