"Watermelon" Tourmaline from Afghanistan

This is technically a "watermelon" tourmaline, but it is almost entirely red with just some pale green on the outer layer. The red color is quite intense when light shines on it. There are a few nicks and chips on the termination. 

The specimen comes with a custom display base.
