This large purple fluorite is covered with stepped faces. The specimen is almost a floater because it is crystallized almost completely around it. At appears that once in its life it broke off from the host rock, and the contact areas continued to grow. The condition is very good for a specimen this large. There are a few tiny nicks, but with all the stepped detail going on it doesn't really show, especially when backlit. In some of the crevices is a yellow, granular material that's probably some sort of barite.
The specimen comes with a custom display base.
